Has iPhone become a status symbol?

Has iPhone become a status symbol for the users in metro cities?

We are in the 21 century. We are at the pinnacle of developing technology. We are in the era where the colour of our skin determines our qualifications and our bulky pockets determine our status in society. The hierarchy of precedence was created by us and is being advocated still. Flashing expensive things publicly has become the new trend for developing a status symbol. Status symbol is considered to be the ultimatum by many because it determines our stand in society.Machines are becoming more humane and humans are turning into machines. For every decision which we ponder upon, the first question which strikes our mind is, 'Log kya kahenge' ?

We still play who's the richest of them all. But the rules have slightly been altered. Now our smartphones decide our status symbol. They decide in which subclass of the human hierarchy will we be placed.

Usage of status symbol in metro cities:

Education has become a business and schools its breeding grounds. It is imperative that what quality of education you thrive for. The school which you attend addresses your status in the society.Your talents don't make you popular but the car which you step down from while coming to school. Your personality doesn't shriek out it's potential amongst the crowd but your GAP tshirt does.

Iphone:The luxury for  the rich :

In a country with a population of 1.3 billion the sales of Apple  iPhone has surged by 56 % as of May 2016.Apple iPhone is a smart “PHONE”, and nothing more than that. You cannot expect a handheld computer, which is a more suitable name for an Android Phone. You have to live with the memory you got after you purchased the phone . Flashing an iPhone  is the easiest way to elucidate one's status in the society. An iPhone user is accepted more warmly in a group of budgeted people than an android user.
A friend of mine had iPhone 5. His friends kept pestering him to get the latest version. Because why not? Getting it exchanged is considered to be a more feasible option to these people rather than hearing about carrying an older version of iPhone. Irrespective of the limited features of the iPhone it till today remains the most sort out smartphone because of its status. Till you have an iPhone which cost you more than half the salary of your month you seem to be living in paradise. It is of the utmost importance to own an iPhone in order to walk with pride of gloat about oneself. It's a rat race out there and iPhone its referee. It doesn't matter whether you are a young prat attending school or a pan wala. If you can flaunt your iPhone, you can keep your head held high and your words will be taken into account seriously no matter what gibberish you speak.

A day in a life of an iPhone user :

Every golden pot doesn't  offer elixir and not every earthen pot elucidates poison. IPhone users belong to various monetary class groups but belong to the same status group.A person might be able to purchase iPhone and all its accessories for his family while one might have to live hand to mouth for months just in order to buy an iPhone. A couple of my friends even cut down their food and medical expenses just in order to be able to flaunt an iPhone. Such is the craze for a smartphone which has limited functionality. The iPhone 8x was recently launched. It failed two face detection tests on its launch event. Yet there is a buzz to buy the phone. People would be rushing to their nearest Apple retailer to grab their very own Apple iPhone 8 if given a chance. Often Redmi Note which looks slightly similar to Apple iPhone is termed as 'garibon ka iPhone' .
Such is the case that most smartphone users who do not inure ios often use Apple's custom ringtone to attract attention towards them.
We have a knack for overpriced and sophisticated goods and hence we often use Apple to shadow  our weakness and whims and to proclaim one's status.
